No Hot Loads, Ever

It happens. Waste and charges due to project delays. Sometimes unavoidable, and often from last minute issues out of your control.

Have a load of concrete sit in a standard transit mixer for too long and it will no longer be usable, it goes "hot" - or sets too much to be usable for your project. Once hot, the concrete will need to be dumped - either at your site (hope you have a big hole to fill) or back at the concrete yard with incredible service fees. This can happen from a number of reasons, including:
  • Failed inspections
  • Difficult locations
  • Traffic and accidents
  • Weather
  • Wait time

On the other hand, Fresh Concrete is never hot as it is manufactured as needed from a volumetric mixer truck - which can be thought of as a mobile cement plant. Just like a plant, the mix can be dialed in to fit the situation, but we find a good quality result with a standard seven sack mix.

Start and stop? Wait? Difficult location? Inspector late? Whatever. Never a hot load.
